Heidi B. Donnelly, MD
Specializing in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery
Dr. Donnelly has dedicated her career to the treatment of skin cancer and photo-aging. Dr. Donnelly is the owner and Medical Director of Dayton Skin Care Specialists, which opened in the summer of 1998.
She attended the University of Illinois in Chicago. After completing her internship at Northwestern University Medical Center, she went on to complete a residency in dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Donnelly obtained her board certification in 1994 from the American Board of Dermatology. She completed her fellowship in Mohs, Laser and Dermatologic Surgery in 1995.
Dr. Donnelly served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Rush-Presbyterian- St Lukes Medical Center in Chicago until 1997. After moving to Ohio she became the Director of Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery for Wright State University.
She has authored and published numerous scientific book chapters and articles on Mohs and Dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Donnelly’s focus outside of the office is spending with her husband Tom and their children, Imelda and Jack. Together, they actively participate in the Dayton community, cooking, running, and traveling.
Martha Hickmann, MD
Dermatologist and Lasers
Dr. Martha Hickmann is a Dermatologist with Dayton Skin Care Specialists. She compliments the practice with over 10 years of clinical practice in Dermatology.
Dr. Hickmann attended Creighton University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Dermatology at Wright State University School of Medicine. She has been Board Certified in Dermatology since 1998. She has participated in multiple dermatology clinical research trials and has published several articles in professional journals.
Dr. Hickmann actively volunteers in community events.
Gwyn King, DO
Dermatologist and Lasers
Dr. Gwyn King is a Dermatologist with Dayton Skin Care Specialists. She compliments the practice with significant clinical experience and specialized training in Dermatology.
Dr. King attended Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with academic honors in 2007. After a one year rotating internship at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. King moved to New York and completed a residency in Dermatology at St. Barnabas Hospital in June 2011. She is Board Certified in Dermatology.
Dr. King has received many academic honors, held leadership positions within the medical community, participated in dermatology clinical research trials, and has published several articles in professional journals.
Dr. King married her sweetheart, Dr. Sam King, and relocated to Dayton in July 2011. They are actively involved in community service and Sam has convinced Dr. King to learn to golf.
Jason Litak, MD
2011-2012 Fellow, Specializing in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery
Dr. Litak is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He completed his undergraduate work in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego, earning Magna Cum Laude honors. He completed his medical education at the University of California, Los Angeles and an internship in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Litak’s residency in Dermatology was completed at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL where he served as Chief Resident Dermatology during his final year.
Dr. Litak has published many articles and presented at several Dermatology meetings. His clinical research interests are in Mohs surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, cutaneous oncology, and procedural dermatology.
Kurt L. Maggio, MD
Specializing in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery
Dr. Maggio is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He attended George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Dermatology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC. Dr. Maggio completed his fellowship in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery at the Scripps Clinic, LaJolla, CA in 2003.
Dr. Maggio has recently retired from a career in military medicine spanning three decades. As a faculty researcher and physician in the country’s third largest Dermatology residency training program for fifteen of those years, he loves to teach and learn. Colonel Maggio is a combat veteran who has practiced Dermatology all over the world. Dr. Maggio specializes in the surgical treatment of skin cancer. He also has advanced training in laser and cosmetic dermatology, especially facial rejuvenation.
Dr. Maggio enjoys running, hiking, swimming and gardening.
Joseph McGowan IV, MD
Specializing in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery
Dr. McGowan was a Board Certified Dermatologist. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina, where he completed his residency in Dermatology. Dr. McGowan received numerous scholarships for his academic achievements. He received the Resident Recognition Award at the 10th Annual Caribbean Dermatology Symposium.
Dr. McGowan splits his practice time between Charleston, South Carolina as a Mohs surgeon with Dr. Marianne Rosen and Dayton Skin Care Specialists.
Dr. McGowan has written articles in professional journals and textbooks about Dermatologic conditions. He has presented various studies, poster, and scientific papers at various national professional meetings.
He actively volunteers in community events. His many interests include piano and music composition.
Eric C. Parlette, MD
Specializing in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery
Dr. Parlette is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his residency in Dermatology at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. Dr. Parlette completed his fellowship in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery with Skin Care Physicians, Chestnut Hill, MA in 2008.
Dr. Parlette splits his practice time between Dermatology Associates in Winchester, MA and Dayton Skin Care Specialists.
Dr. Parlette has received numerous commendations, awards and recognition for his academic achievements and publications. He has authored and published numerous scientific articles on Mohs and Dermatologic surgery and is very active in dermatologic research. Dr. Parlette currently serves on the Research Development Committee and the Research Grant Review Board of The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Lisa Webster
Clinical Aesthetician
Lisa is a licensed clinical aesthetician with Dayton Skin Care Specialists.
Lisa has 10 years of experience providing complete skin analysis, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, facials, and photodynamic therapy.
Lisa’s passion for skincare aids in her commitment to improving the health and appearance of each patient’s skin. She works closely with our physicians to determine the best plan of care for every patient and their specific skin concerns.
Lisa is knowledgeable in all of the products and procedures the practice offers and will tailor a program to fit individual patient needs.
